Recipe / Preparation tip

Cooking hot dogs is simple: fill a pot with enough water to cover them and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the hot dogs and reduce the heat to medium so the water stays at a gentle simmer rather than a rolling boil.

Cook for about 5 minutes. When finished, remove them from the water and let them drain. For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of salt or spices to the boiling water. Serve your hot dogs with mustard, horseradish, or in a bun.
